Polio is highly infectious viral disease and it affect the children under the age of five.

There is no cure for polio but it can be only prevented by immunization.

There are 3 type of strain for wild polio virus 

1- TYPE - I 

2- TYPE - II

3- TYPE - III

Type II has been eradicated in 1999 and Type III no case found since 2012.  

Now Type II and Type III has been certified as globally eradicated. 

Now remain Type I strain of virus is affecting only two Country.

1- Afganistan

2- Pakistan
